Amalfi Coast is one of my most treasured and favourite travel destinations.
Three years ago i spent one week on a scooter with Matt discovering and exploring towns, coves, restaurants and beaches. That memory has stayed with us and we have always waited to return.
On the week end the time finally arrived and i was given a thousand reasons to smile... We were returning to Amalfi Coast!
So Friday morning we were up early, the hire car was picked up and we started the three hour road trip from Rome to Sorrento. When we arrived in Sorrento the first stop was to pick up our hire scooters. After dropping our bags off to the hotel we were off on the scooter to get the exploring started.
Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi are just three of the many towns that outline the breathtaking Coast. Living in Rome is fantastic however in the summertime it is difficult to not be surrounded by water. When i saw the first bit of coast peeping through the olive trees on the week end, my heart started beating quickly and all my feelings of freedom, happiness and peace rushed back to me.
Seeing the Amalfi Coast on a scooter is the most amazing experience and definitely is one of life's highs, you are not stuck in traffic, the wind is in your face, you can stop easily every two seconds and take photos. hahah
Amalfi Coast holds a very special place in my heart along with Lake Como.
I am feeling very blessed as we are returning to Amalfi Coast next week end to do it all over again.
