Italian Joy

Italian Joy is one of my favourite books.

It is filled with amazing photos of Italy and a story of someone taking the risk to leave it all and move to Italy.

Eleven years ago I gave up a corporate career to follow my heart and become a photographer. Photography is my passion and now my career. I live and breathe photography and the images and emotions that surround it.

Italian Joy is my visual love-letter to Italy mixed with tales of my journey swapping my career to become a photographer in a foreign land.

I WAS FILLED WITH, AN INDESCRIBABLE HAPPINESS FOR WHAT, MY LIFE HAD BECOME...

Da Michele

Da Michele is Napoli's most popular pizzeria, a Da Michele pizza has been named the best pizza in the world. Julia Roberts also ate at Da Michele in the movie Eat Pray Love.
There are only two choices of pizza, Margherita and Marinara.

We arrived what would be considered late for lunch in Italy, 3pm on a Saturday afternoon.
There was a crowd of at least 50 people waiting out the front of the pizzeria.
We noticed everyone was holding numbers so we went inside and got our number.
83 was the lucky number, we waited ten minutes and the door opened and number 43 was called.
We were so hungry, we knew we were in for a long wait..... 1hr and 45min later we were seated.

Two margherita pizza's were ordered... best pizza in the world??? YES!
