1st of May Roman Tradition

The 1st of May in Rome is a special day of Roman Tradition.

Roman Tradition:
Broad Beans and Pecorino Romano Cheese are eaten together and washed down with Vino Rosso.

Pecorino Romano is Rome's pecorino, produced around Lazio province in local cheese shops from local sheep.

Spring is the season for broad beans and Pecorino Romano, yesterday all the Romans gathered together and enjoyed the first crops and spring time weather.

We spent our 1st of May the true roman way, enjoying a long lunch which included eating pecorino, broad beans and lots of other amazing Italian flavours, went for an afternoon long walk in the sun and then finished off the day watching the Roma football match.
