The doors that open into the Medina's in Morocco are full of surprises, century old secrets and a village of people living their lives in a special and unseen way to the western eye.
Morocco is a country of colour, culture and rich flavour. The people of Morocco live life the same as they did hundreds of years ago. Moroccans are craftsmen and artists; everywhere people are still hand making and preparing everything the old way.
We spent two weeks travelling Morocco and visited Casablanca, Fes, Rabat, Marrakech and Essaouria.
The items I purchased from the craftsmen, met along the way, will be a part of my home forever. These pieces, each hand made, have detail and patterns which have been worked on for hours at end. The same detail and effort is put into the doors and building all throughout Morocco.
There is a mixture of African and Arabic influences in all of the designs.
